Advanced Lighting Education (ALE): TM-30 Essentials

When:  Feb 26, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (MT)
Associated with  The IES Denver Section
With the recent update to TM-30-18, TM-30 is now an ANSI standard. Get the basics on this superior method of light source color rendition evaluation - including how to use it in your lighting practice. This plain-language session will use examples and live demonstrations to illustrate the elements of TM-30. It will break down the reporting templates offered in TM-30-18, and help reps, specifiers, designers, and related lighting practitioners understand how to use the information to inform choices and guide customers. We will touch on the limitations of any color rendering measure as well.

Speaker Bio:
Erin Giblin is a Field Project Coordinator at ETC working in their Burbank, Calif. office. Specializing in advanced color rendition and networking, Giblin will be speaking in a session on Networking at the 2020 USITT Conference. At ETC Giblin helps designers in theater, TV and film create the best lighting for their shows, most of which she can’t mention because, yes, the NDA’s are that ironclad.
