Atlanta Airport Canopy Lighting & Controls

IES Atlanta invites you to join us on Tuesday, November 12th for a presentation and demonstration discussing the Atlanta Airport Canopy Lighting & Controls with Tom Kaczkowski, Principal and Director of Lighting Design at HOK.

A light dinner & refreshments will be provided. A cash bar will also be available. The cost for the event is $20 for IES Members or $25 for non-Members.  

  • 5:30 to 6 PM Networking
  • 6 to 7 PM Presentation and Q&A
  • 7 PM for those wishing to see the project live we will travel as a group to the MARTA Station around the corner, take the train down to the airport and experience the canopies firsthand! *MARTA tickets are not covered by the IES. 

Presenter Bio:
As Director of Lighting Design, Tom strives to create lighting solutions carefully tailored to provide the most appropriate visual environment for the client’s specific tasks, activities, and budget. Integrated interior and exterior lighting design solutions balance the art and science of ever-changing lighting technology. Tom’s lighting design solutions are architecturally appropriate while maximizing energy efficiency and sensitivity to long-term maintenance issues.

Tom joined HOK in 1987 and has been involved in a wide variety of project types including corporate headquarters, healthcare facilities, judicial facilities, renovation, aviation, convention centers, floodlighting of historic landmarks and streetscape (district) lighting planning/urban plaza lighting.
