Joining the IES as an EP has numerous advantages. It will add structure to your career development and guide you away from the career freefall that many people experience.   • Richard Kelly Grant

    Submissions are now open for the 2019 Richard Kelly Grant. The grant's purpose is to recognize and encourage creative thought and activity in the use of light. 


    Applicant must demonstrate accomplishment as well as the potential to contribute to the art and science of illumination. Proposed, completed, and on-going work involving light may be submitted and should clearly illustrate the way in which the conceptual or applied use of light in new and innovative ways is used to solve or better understand a problem.

    Grant proposals must be submitted by June 30, 2019
  • Howard Brandston Grant

    Submissions are now open for the 2019 Howard Brandston student lighting design education grant. 

    The Howard Brandston Student Lighting Design Education Grant was established to encourage and recognize students who have demonstrated exceptional professional promise through the presentation of an original and ingenious solution to a supplied design problem.

    The purpose of the Howard Brandston Student Lighting Design Education Grant is to foster good lighting and to advance the appreciation of lighting as an art.

    PROJECT DEADLINE: May 17, 2019
  • Students and Emerging Professionals can apply for the 2019 EP Annual Conference Sponsorship

    The Sponsorship is intended to offset conference travel (airfare, airport transfers, train & taxi expenses, and mileage), lodging and IES Annual Conference registration cost. IES will reimburse travel expenses after the conference of up to $1,230.

    Applicants must submit their application by April 30, 2019, 11:59PM EST to be considered
